Anamika Chawla is a junior at Trinity School NYC.

Interests: Anamika is interested in East Asian studies, social media marketing, social justice and activism, and entrepreneurship. She has been learning Mandarin at school for 4+ years, is co-president of the East Asian branch of her school's Asian American affinity group, and aspires to study abroad in China someday. She is co-president and co-founder of her school's branch of Coalition Z, Art for Activism and Change service group, and is a member of her school's Student Diversity Leadership Council. Anamika has played 4+ years of volleyball, playing for the Trinity Varsity team as well as club volleyball in past years.

Why Anamika joined the YMC: "The summer before my sophomore year I explored social media ventures of my own, creating content for platforms like Tiktok and Pinterest. I tracked the progress of my different accounts, fiddling with different metrics and adopting tactics in a trial-and-error fashion. The following school year I was introduced to YMC. YMC attracts really fantastic, experienced, and inspiring speakers, and likewise curious students who are eager to learn. I reached out to the co-founders of DaysOff chocolate after being introduced through YMC and plan to intern with them in August. I am so excited to be a part of YMC's leadership team this year and provide valuable opportunities and experiences for other students."
